Researchers from James Cook University (Cairns, Australia) and Cardiff University (UK) have taken the first steps toward producing a vaccine that’s needle-free and doesn’t need to be kept cool – two problems that hinder access to vaccines globally.
The study, published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, describes the development of a new vaccine production platform, which was used to build a prototype, fully synthetic flu vaccine.
