We, here at Infectious Diseases Hub, recently attended the Society for Applied Microbiology’s (SfAM) Early Career Scientist (ECS) Research Symposium (March 28th, Birmingham, UK) and had a wonderful day among enthusiastic and supportive young scientists.
While we were at the conference we took the opportunity to ask some of the delegates what one piece of advice they’d give other early career researchers – producing varied and informative responses. Watch our video to discover what advice the delegates, members of SfAM’s ECS committee and SfAM Chief Executive, Lucy Harper, would give up-and-coming scientists.
In addition, we’d love to hear from you – if you’re an early career scientist (or once were!) let us know what advice you’d give in the comments below, or find us on Twitter @IDHubFSG.
