ECCMID18: Could cellulitis be treated with a shorter course of antibiotics?

Cellulitis treated with a 6-day course of the intravenous antibiotic flucloxacillin resulted in greater rates of relapse at 90-days post-treatment compared with the 12-day course, despite having similar short-term results, according to findings presented at the 28th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID; 21–24 April, Madrid, Spain).
