Researchers demonstrate for the first time the importance of bacteriophages in the development of multifactorial diseases such as Parkinson’s, a potentially critical factor that has been previously over-looked.
In a recent study presented at ASM Microbe 2018 (7–11 June, GA, USA), researchers from the Human Microbiology Institute (NY, USA) demonstrated the potential role bacteriophages play in the onset or progression of Parkinson’s disease (PD).
