A new report has detailed a broad range of disorders among Ebola survivors in Sierra Leone, including stroke and migraine-like headaches, as the researchers call for more specialist support for these patients.
As part of an ongoing effort to understand post-Ebola syndrome and improve patient care, the team identified 34 patients with significant symptoms from the patient notes of over 300 survivors. The enrolled individuals underwent a full neurological examination, psychiatric screening and specialist investigations including brain scan imaging.
