HIV: decreasing diagnoses means UK hits international targets for the first time

A recent report released from Public Health England (PHE) shows diagnoses of HIV to be decreasing, ensuring for the first time that the UK has met the UNAIDS 90:90:90 targets for HIV diagnosis, treatment and transmission.

In the report, the clear progress in the goal to abolish the HIV epidemic is emphasized by the implementation of combination HIV prevention, including behavioral, structural and medical changes being highlighted as key players in the declining incidence.
