Ebola outbreak declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern

A Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) has been declared for the recent Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak, which started on 1 August 2018, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This declaration was the outcome of the fourth meeting of International Health Regulations (IHR) Emergency Committee for the DRC Ebola outbreak.
