Neglected Tropical Diseases are a varied group of diseases often found in the most vulnerable populations. NTDs affect more than one in seven people worldwide, with a disproportionate impact on women and children, yet remain highly neglected in terms of research, funding and advocacy. NTDs perpetrate cycles of poverty and discrimination, and controlling these NTDs is an urgent, necessary and essential step in accelerating sustainable global development worldwide.
The International Society for Neglected Tropical Diseases is an independent, collaborative and multidisciplinary network seeking to highlight the urgency of tackling NTDs as well as engaging with a wide range of partners to tackle NTDs, including from pharma, academia, the creative industries and arts, water & sanitation, vector control and other major global diseases.
